The Art ShowThe Interaction Art Show will be the largest display of Science Fiction and Fantasy Art seen in Europe in the last 10 years. We have over 540 panels of art - that's over 4000 square feet or 400 square meters ! - along with table displays, a Print Shop and an Artist's Alley for live demonstrations, signings and other personal appearances.
Who's Taking PartWe have now published our list of participating artists.
How to EnterBooking for the Art Show is now closed however we have left our entry terms on display here for information and reference. Our charging policy is based on a combination of entry fees and commission on sales. The entry fees for each part of the Art Show are detailed in the sections below, along with other relevant information. All entry fees will be payable at the time of booking. A commission of 10% will be collected on all sales, whether from the auction, the print shop or after auction sales.
Hanging Space Arrangements
Hanging Space ArrangementsHanging space is made up of units of panels. Each panel is 4 feet (121 cm) high by 2 feet (61 cm) wide. There is an entry fee of £10 for each panel. However, the entry fee for the first two panels is waived on condition that at least 60% of an artist's total display, including all items on these two panels, is For Sale.
Our panels are made of pegboard, mounted on pipe frames. The largest continuous panel section is 6 feet (182.9 cm) wide, consisting of 3 side by side panels. All bays are horseshoe shaped: 6 feet by 6 feet by 6 feet with each of the three sides being 6 feet long.
Table Space ArrangementsThe Art Show also includes Table sections, each section being 3 feet (91.5 cm) long by 2 ½ feet (76 cm) wide. There is an entry fee of £10 for each table section. Jewellery or other small items must be placed in the artist’s own case, which must be placed on a table. There must be space for bid sheets as well as the case, just as space must be allowed for bid sheets for all other items in the show.
Print ShopArtists may submit prints for sale in our Print Shop. There is a limit of 10 prints of any given subject with a 10 subject maximum (100 prints per artist). A flat entry fee of £1.00 per print entered (whether sold or not) will be charged. Buyers will pay sales tax. Prints may duplicate work displayed elsewhere in the Art Show or a single copy of a signed and numbered print. One print may be hung on the panels with a note to see the Print Shop panels for prints. This print MUST be matted. Prints in the print shop will be displayed on regular art show panels (only one of each print displayed thusly).
Artist’s AlleyThe Artist's Alley is made up of tables set up in “L” formations. Each “L” formation is available for £100. The artist must be a member of the convention. Artists are limited to 2 full (2.5’ x 6’) tables and 2 chairs per individual artist. Electrical power can be provided at an extra cost as long as the Art Show is notified in advance. Artists may sign autographs, demonstrate art techniques (please: nothing hazardous to health, no open flame, or too messy), talk to the public, display art or sell art that is NOT duplicated in the Art Show. Artists do not have to be at their tables the entire time, however no security will be provided for items left on the tables when the artist is not present. Artists may ‘sub-lease’ their tables, however all sub-lessees shall be subject to the rules above and must have their own sales licenses.
Shipping ArrangementsTo make it easier for artists to participate in the Art Show, we have made a number of arrangements for shipping.
Mail-In ArtWe are accepting Mail-In artwork for both the main show and the Print Shop. The details can be found on our Artist Shipping and Mail-in page.
Reservations and PaymentsBooking for the Art Show is now closed however we have left our entry terms on display here for information and reference.
Required PaperworkOnce you have entered the Art Show, and received confirmation of your booking, you will need to create a number of pieces of paperwork in the normal fashion. These can be downloaded below, along with some guidance notes explaining now to fill them in. You will need to provide us with:
We would like to receive the summary and control sheets well before the convention if possible. This will enable us to enter your information into our database without having a rush at the convention itself. Your bid sheets will need to be attached to the individual pieces of art work and shipped or brought with them.
We have also provided the control and bid sheets as Microsoft Word documents. These can be downloaded and completed electronically, and either printed off (for ease of reading - often better than handwritten sheets for avoiding clerical errors) or emailed back to us for entry into our database.
Terms and ConditionsPlease make sure you have read the terms and conditions for entering the Art Show. These rules are not negotiable and by entering the Art Show you will be deemed to have read and accepted them. The judgement of the Art Show Staff on all Art Show matters in final.
