An Interaction Staff Weekend

ConStruction II is the second in a series of staff weekends that Interaction is running run in preparation for the Convention itself. Although the main emphasis will be on Interaction, the event also offers a wider opportunity to promote the sharing of knowledge for those interested in organising SF conventions. The aim is for convention organisers, (whether Interaction staff or not), to gather together to share their knowledge and experiences during a relaxing and fun weekend.

How Much Will it Cost?
The room rates are as follows:
Room types are twins or doubles - no kingsize, we're afraid.
These rates include full English breakfast, taxes and use of the leisure club, swimming pool and Jacuzzi and apply to the nights of 27, 28 and 29 February.

How Do I Get There?
We have also provided detailed information on travel to/from and around Swindon.
Parking is free and plentiful for those who are planning to drive.

The event will start on Friday evening from 6 pm. Committee members should aim to arrive by 6 pm sharp for a Committee meeting. For everyone else, Friday is a social evening, with a chance to meet and greet the other attendees and some light-hearted quizzes.
Saturday programming will include an Introduction from Vince Docherty, Interaction Chair; an examination of the cross-cultural aspects of running a UK Worldcon; a Conrunning challenge; and Divisional meetings.
Sunday events will include a variety of break-out sessions to look at a variety of topics, before the weekend finishes at 4 pm, allowing plenty of time for people to make their way home.
Membership of ConStruction II is FREE. However, we would like to know if you plan to come so please send an e-mail to Margaret Austin at construction@interaction.worldcon.org.uk to let her know if you expect to attend. Anyone who is currently a staff or committee member of Interaction, or who thinks they might like to help out at some point is welcome to come along.
