For immediate release: Friday 7 March 2003

Interaction Holds Open Meeting for Glasgow Fans

Interaction will be holding an Open Meeting in Glasgow on Saturday 15th March 2003, including a visit to part of the Convention site, an open Q&A session with senior Interaction staff, and social events in the afternoon and evening. The event will be based at the City Inn hotel on Finnieston Quay, a few hundred meters from the main Convention site at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).

This will be the first Open Meeting since the award of the 2005 Worldcon to Glasgow, but continues the policy of outreach and engagement established in the Bid. Whilst the Interaction committee is drawn from around the world, the Convention is committed to developing strong links with SF fans and related groups from Glasgow and Scotland in general. Further meetings are expected to be held in 2004 and 2005, and a large local turnout is expected for the Convention itself.

Full details of the meeting arrangements can be found at http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/ommar03.htm.
