Interaction Mails Progress Report #1

Interaction, the 2005 Worldcon, released its first full Progress Report on 30th August 2003.

Interaction plans to produce four Progress Reports in the run-up to the Convention, along with three issues of its newsletter, "Armadillo Dreams".

Progress Report 1 (PR1) includes a wide range of articles including an introduction to the Interaction Guests of Honour; a retrospective on the 1979 Worldcon, Seacon '79, by its Chair Peter Weston; and a "Fan's A-Z of Glasgow" by Ian Sorensen. PR1 also includes "Interpolation", the first of a series of fanzines by the Plokta Cabal who will be running the Interaction fan lounge and fan programming.

The cover of PR1 has been designed by Hugo award winning artist Jim Burns, and is the first of a series of pieces inspired by the convention's riverside location and Glasgow's maritime history.

Interaction members attending this year's Worldcon, Torcon 3, have been able to collect their Progress Reports in person. The remaining copies will be mailed from Interaction's US office in Louisville, Kentucky over the next two weeks. US members' copies will be mailed by standard (bulk) mail. Most non-US members' copies will be mailed by International Surface Air Lift (ISAL) mail. A small number of copies, mostly to countries that do not participate in the ISAL program, will be sent by ordinary air mail.
