PRESS RELEASE #23 - Interaction Revises Attending Membership Rates

GLASGOW, Friday 8 October 2004

Interaction, the 63rd World Science Fiction Convention, urges anyone considering attending the convention to become a full attending member now, as new membership rates of £110 ($195/EUR 165) will come into effect on 1 December 2004.

The child (15 years and under) admission rate will remain at £32 ($50/EUR 50) with infants 6 and under remaining free. This reflects our policy to encourage families and children of all ages to attend the convention.

The rate for a supporting membership also stays unchanged at £30 ($45/EUR 45). Supporting to Attending Upgrades will continue to be based on the difference between New Supporting and New Attending rates.

Vincent Docherty, Co-Chair of the Convention, commented "despite this increase, Interaction remains tremendous value for money. Our membership rate is all inclusive, and for barely £20 per day members will get a dozen parallel tracks of panels and workshops, an academic conference, 3 streams of video and anime presentations, 6000 square meters of dealers, artists and exhibit space and over 100 autograph sessions from writers and other professionals from around the world of science fiction".

Interaction Memberships are available for immediate purchase at various conventions, through our web site, and via postal mail. Memberships can also be purchased by instalment plan, allowing membership costs to be spread over a period of up to 6 months.
