Public EventsThis page contains a list of public events which people in the Glasgow area can participate in without being members of the convention. We're delighted to support this wider celebration of science fiction in Scotland in 2005! Friday Night Play On Friday 5 August, Reductio Ad Absurdum will present a unique look at the Star Wars series, Lucas Back in Anger. This event will take place in the Clyde Auditorium, doors opening at 7 pm for an 8 pm start. Tickets can be bought online or on the door for £5 each. Full details of the play can be found here. Waterstones Book Signings a number of science fiction authors visiting Glasgow for Interaction will take part in author events at the Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow branch of Waterstones (153-157 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow G2 3EW, Telephone 0141 332 9105). Kevin J. Anderson, Ian McDonald, and Ian R. MacLeod will take part in a ticketed event on Thursday 4 August at 6.30 pm. They will discuss the SF genre and sign copies of their books. Admission will be £3, which will be redeemable against the purchase of the promoted title at the event. Terry Brooks will sign copies of ‘Straken: High Druid of Shannara’ on Saturday 6 August at 1 pm. No ticket will be required. Handmade Books and Journals Interaction dealer Phoenix will be selling its handmade embossed copper books and journals from the end of Interaction through to the end of August, at the craft fair in Edinburgh's St. Johns Church Yard. This can be found at the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road and features all handmade local crafts.
